Stacy Garcia Begins National Leadership Role with ABOTA at Biloxi Leadership Conference
Garcia Law is proud to announce that Attorney Stacy T. Garcia has officially begun her three-year term as a National Board Representative for the Houston Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). She kicked off her term by attending the 2025 ABOTA Leadership Conference and National Board Meeting in Biloxi, Mississippi, marking the first national gathering of the year.
A National Platform for Advocacy and Excellence
ABOTA is a prestigious, invitation-only organization of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to preserving the right to a civil jury trial as guaranteed by the Seventh Amendment. With chapters across the country, ABOTA promotes:
Professionalism and civility among trial lawyers,
Judicial independence, and
Public education about the importance of the jury system.
Serving on the National Board is both an honor and a responsibility, as representatives help shape the direction of the organization and support its mission on a national scale.
A Memorable Start in Biloxi
The Biloxi conference brought together ABOTA members from across the country for a weekend of continuing legal education, leadership development, and fellowship. The theme of the meeting—“The Music of Advocacy”—explored how music can enhance a trial lawyer’s storytelling ability, helping attorneys connect more deeply with juries and judges alike.
From keynote presentations to breakout sessions, the event emphasized the power of rhythm, tone, and emotional resonance in courtroom advocacy. Attendees also had the opportunity to network with fellow trial lawyers, share strategies, and celebrate the shared values that unite the ABOTA community.
“It’s a privilege to represent Houston at the national level,” said Garcia. “ABOTA’s commitment to excellence and integrity in trial advocacy is something I deeply believe in, and I’m excited to contribute to its mission over the next three years.”
Looking Ahead
As Stacy Garcia begins her term, she will continue to advocate for the values that define ABOTA—honor, professionalism, and the right to trial by jury—while also bringing her unique perspective as a healthcare defense attorney to the national conversation.
Garcia Law congratulates Stacy on this achievement and looks forward to the impact she will make in her new leadership role.
