Stacy Garcia Attends ABOTA National Meeting in Nashville

Garcia Law is pleased to share that Attorney Stacy T. Garcia attended the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) National Board Meeting and CLE Conference, held in Nashville, Tennessee, from October 24–28, 2024. Hosted at the iconic Gaylord Opryland Resort, the event brought together ABOTA members from across the country for a weekend of education, leadership, and fellowship.

A Celebration of Advocacy and Storytelling

This year’s meeting embraced the theme of music and storytelling, exploring how rhythm, tone, and emotional resonance can enhance a trial lawyer’s ability to connect with juries. The setting—Music City, USA—was the perfect backdrop for this creative and inspiring theme.

The weekend kicked off with a CLE program titled “American Democracy: Still the Beacon of Light to the World,” followed by a tour of the Grand Ole Opry, just steps from the hotel. Attendees enjoyed a Friday night cocktail party and a Saturday “Denim and Diamonds” celebration, blending professional development with Nashville’s signature charm.

Highlights of the Weekend Included:

  • CLE sessions focused on democracy, advocacy, and the evolving role of trial lawyers.

  • Networking opportunities with trial attorneys and judges from across the country.

  • songwriter luncheon and live auction benefiting the ABOTA Foundation’s civics education programs.

  • Fellowship events that celebrated the camaraderie and shared mission of ABOTA members.

“ABOTA’s national meetings are always a highlight of the year,” said Garcia. “They offer a unique blend of legal education, leadership, and connection with colleagues who are passionate about preserving the right to trial by jury.”
